UNS S31600 (316) adds molybdenum for superior resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments. UNS N08904 (904L) further adds copper for outstanding resistance to reducing acids and warm seawater. These pipes are welded by rolling the plates and welding the seam and then cleaning the weld flash with scarfing blades.
